Locked requirements
Certainty starts with knowing that protocol requirements aren’t moving targets. When a project begins validation with Isometric, its protocol version locks. This means the requirements in place at the start of validation are the requirements used for credit issuance.
Certify makes it explicit what evidence needs to be submitted at each stage, so suppliers can allocate resources confidently while streamlining credit issuance. Combined with Certify’s AI-assisted validation, automated data checks, and the largest in-house science and engineering team of any carbon removal certifier, suppliers can go from data submission to first credits in as little as 60 days.
Long-term crediting
Scaling for the long term requires long-term certainty. Isometric’s new minimum 10-year crediting periods give suppliers the confidence that investors demand and offtakers value.
When a project is validated, it has at least a full decade to issue credits. This provides the stability to plan long-term and secure offtake agreements, and the space to focus on growth instead of re-validation.
Seamless project expansion
Scaling also requires certainty that growth won’t disrupt delivery. With Certify’s seamless project expansion, suppliers can add new facilities and storage sites without putting their entire project back through validation.
Existing facilities keep issuing credits while additions are validated, so suppliers can scale while maintaining reliable deliveries to their buyers.
